And so it begins! All my blogposts from Copenhagen will slowly make its way to the blog.
The first I'm uploading is this (surprise), and it is from the Mario Testiono exhibition in Copenhagen at Kunstforeningen Gammel Strand.
Gammel Strand is more like an old building in the middle of Copenhagen. You can almost imagine how this had been small apartments, and now it's made into three floors of art. And Mario Testiono fills all three floors.
The first floor (the grey walls) is filled with his model pictures. Here you will find a lot of Kate Moss - and oh my she is so beautiful! You will recognize a lot of them, and you didn't even know the pictures were his!
On the second floor (green walls) you will find all his pictures of the royals. You will find the danish crown prince and princess. You will find William and Kate and Diana in beautiful pictures.
The last and third floor (yellow-ish walls) is his naked modelling and a really interesting movie about him. And I can only say I loved this room the most. I loved how he captured the woman just as she is, he didn't try to change her. I loved one of Jenifer Aniston where she is just smiling and t's blury. But that is what I love about Mario Testiono. He says in the movie, that the good picture is never the one you try to make beautiful.
I can only say that you should go and watch it. I know lots of people travel to Copenhagen just to watch it. And I would love to go watch it again. And this time with more time than hal an hour (don't do like me, check when the museum closes!)
