Sea blue

When you're like me, and like to plan everything out and be totally prepared, I often also know exactly what I want the finished result to be like. And people like me need to stop wanting to control everything, because we can't.

So like with almost every outfit I do, I have planned it before. I also did plan this outfit, planned the name of the post, and planned the location. There was just one problem: The planned location was an old wooden pier on Sejerø, but when I got there all dressed and ready to shoot, it was a private pier. So I went down the beach until I found some rocks and other things I could sit on the do something like what I've planned.

The next problem, isn't really a problem because I can't control it. But I had planned this Sea Blue post, with my blue outfit and on a pier with a blue sky and blue, silk-looking water. That was how this post looked in my head. But you can't control the weather, and definitely not the Danish weather! So the water was as i imagined, but it was an cloudy evening, which gave it all a more white look instead of blue.

What I wore:

Skirt: Envii

Off Shoulder top: H&M
Bag: Saint Sulpice, via Neye
Flip Flops: Nike

So what did I learn from that? I learned that maybe I should lower my expectations to myself and how great I need to do things - and I should just lower my expectations in general, because like I've already said: I can't control the weather or anything like that. I can't control everything, and I should be okay with that. I'm learning to be okay with that.

Don't go hard on yourself, you're doing the best you can. And your best is the best and you can't demand more of yourself. Everything will work out somehow, I promise.

Until next time,
x Sofie
